Tragedy in Hoylake: Christine Bridson Dies in Road Crash
The family of Christine Bridson have paid an emotional tribute after the 72-year-old woman was killed in a serious road collision in Hoylake.
Fatal Crash Details
The crash happened just after 1.45pm on Saturday, 30 September at the junction of 1 Road and Lee Road. Emergency services rushed to the scene where a white Mercedes Sprinter van had collided with Christine. Despite their efforts, she tragically died on the spot.
The van driver, a 51-year-old man from the Wirral, was arrested and taken into police custody. After being interviewed, he has now been released under investigation.
Family Pays Heartfelt Tribute
Christine’s family described her as a loving mother, sister, aunt, and friend. They honoured her legacy as a respected trade unionist who helped countless people throughout her life. “Her presence will be greatly missed,” they said.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Detective Sergeant Kurt Timpson from the Matrix Serious Collision Investigation Unit expressed his condolences to Christine’s family. He called for anyone who witnessed the crash or has CCTV or dash-cam footage to come forward.
