Blaze Breaks Out on Abington Street in Northampton
Northampton Fire and Rescue are battling a major fire at the top of Abington Street. Seven fire engines are on the scene, working alongside Police and East Midlands Ambulance Service.
Road Closures Cause Chaos
The blaze has sparked multiple road closures, including:
- Lower Mounts junction with St Michael’s Road
- Abington Square
- York Road junction with Billing Road
- Abington Street itself
No Injuries Reported So Far
A Fire Service spokesman said: “We don’t believe at this time that anyone has been hurt.
Motorists and pedestrians are urged to avoid the area while emergency crews tackle the blaze.
