Police Lead Intense Investigation, Appeal for Information

“This is a tragic incident which has led to the death of two local women, one known to the suspect,” said Detective Chief Inspector Alex Geldart from Surrey and Sussex major crime team.

“Members of the public, police and paramedics did all they could but sadly both victims died at the scene.”

“This was not a knife attack. A cordon remains while we gather evidence. We appreciate local residents’ support and understanding.”

Chief Superintendent Jerry Westerman called the killings “isolated yet shocking,” and promised officers would remain in the area to reassure the community. He urged anyone with information to come forward.
