Local people were left terrified as 11 police cars, armed units, four ambulances, and a fire engine flooded the quiet cul-de-sac. One resident said, “We couldn’t park on our own drive. The whole place is shaken up — something terrible has happened.”

Detectives are appealing for anyone near Ashlyn Close from lunchtime until 7pm on Tuesday to come forward with information. “We need anyone with dashcam footage or who saw anything suspicious to contact us immediately,” added Superintendent Hall.
