Walthamstow Murder Shocker: Five Arrested Over Stabbing Death of Teen
Detectives have arrested five suspects following the stabbing murder of 18-year-old Kacem Mokrane in Walthamstow. Kacem was attacked on Mount Pleasant Road on the evening of Thursday, 16 November and sadly died four days later, on Monday, 20 November.
Night of Violence in Walthamstow
Police rushed to the scene at around 11:15pm after reports of males armed with weapons. Despite emergency efforts, Kacem succumbed to multiple organ failure caused by stab wounds, confirmed by a post mortem at Walthamstow Mortuary on 24 November.
Five Arrested in Murder Probe
- Monday 27 November: A 17-year-old and 19-year-old, and another 17-year-old were arrested at East London addresses.
- Tuesday 28 November: A 20-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy also taken in on suspicion of murder.
All five remain in police custody as the investigation intensifies.

“It has now been over a week since Kacem was attacked and murdered in the street,” said Detective Chief Inspector Whellams. “Our investigation is making progress but we urge anyone with information, no matter how small, to come forward. It could be vital.”
