Emergency Rush After Children Rescued from Water in Solihull

West Midlands Ambulance Service sprang into action at 2.36pm on Sunday after a chilling rescue at Babbs Mill Park, Kingshurst, Solihull. Five ambulances, four paramedic officers, the Hazardous Area Response Team, and five enhanced care teams were dispatched instantly.

Rapid Response with Full Trauma Support

The first ambulance arrived within seven minutes, joined by the MERIT trauma doctor, critical care paramedics from Midlands Air Ambulance, and The Air Ambulance Service Critical Care Car. Paramedics acted fast, assessing and treating four children at the scene.

Critical Condition Kids Rushed to Hospital

All four children were whisked away on blue lights, each accompanied by enhanced care teams. Two were taken to Birmingham Children’s Hospital, the other two to Heartlands Hospital. A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman confirmed all four were in critical condition on arrival.

Search and Rescue Efforts Continue

The Hazardous Area Response Team, police, and fire crews stayed on-site until about 6.30pm, conducting thorough checks to ensure no one else remained in the water. Ambulance services have now stood down.
