Four Dead in Horrific Crash: Family Pay Tearful Tributes at Scene
Tragic Loss Shocks Loved Ones
Family and friends gathered at the crash site to mourn four men killed in a terrible road smash. One relative, who asked to remain anonymous, said: “One of the men was my uncle. I found out early this morning. He was a great man. I am broken and still trying to make sense of what happened.”
Road Closed for Lengthy Investigation
Kent Police shut the road for over 12 hours while specialists examined the wreckage. The mangled Hilux pickup was finally lifted onto a low loader just before 1pm on Sunday afternoon. The damage was so severe it ripped through five sturdy trees, the only visible sign left of the crash’s brutality.
Shocked Officers and Heartbroken Witnesses
Experienced police officers showed clear signs of being rocked by the crash’s scale. Neighbours described being woken by a loud bang and the sound of a vehicle revving. One said: “People were crying. The whole road was flooded with blue lights. It looked like the car was speeding. The fog last night was really thick.”
