Two More Arrests in Bristol Teens’ Fatal Stabbings
Police have made two further arrests over the tragic stabbings of Bristol teenagers Mason Rist, 15, and Max Dixon, 16. The brutal attack happened on Ilminster Avenue on the night of Saturday, January 27, when the boys were set upon by a group.
Swift Police Response, But Boys Succumb
Officers rushed to the scene around 11.20pm. Despite emergency efforts, Mason and Max died in hospital early the next morning. A 44-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy were arrested soon after and are still in custody. Police say more arrests are expected as the investigation continues.
Community in Shock and Support
Bristol Commander Superintendent Mark Runacres expressed “profound sadness” over the loss. He vowed to bring the killers to justice. More than 150 people gathered at a vigil near the scene, with many attending a local residents’ meeting. Superintendent Runacres thanked the community for their patience during forensic work and confirmed a strong ongoing police presence.
Council and Police Call for Help
Christina Gray, Director of Communities and Public Health at Bristol City Council, offered condolences to the families and urged those affected to seek support for trauma. Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with footage to come forward, stressing the importance of avoiding speculation to protect the integrity of the investigation and respect the grieving families.
