Good Guy in Wheelchair Fatally Stabbed in Clapton Street Brawl
A man in his 30s, known locally as a “good guy in a wheelchair,” was tragically stabbed to death during a street fight in Clapton on Wednesday afternoon.
Chaos on Rushmore Road
Police were called to Rushmore Road, E5, at 3:38pm following reports of a violent scuffle. Emergency services, including London Ambulance and Air Ambulance, rushed to the scene to find the victim suffering from a stab wound. Despite their efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim, described as disabled, had been a familiar face in the area for about nine years, according to a nearby butcher at Hook Meat Supplier, who called him a “good guy” and expressed shock over the incident.
Police Make Two Arrests
The Metropolitan Police confirmed two men have been arrested in connection with the fatal stabbing. No further details about the suspects have been released. The area remains a crime scene as detectives continue their investigation and work to notify the victim’s next of kin.
