Fire Breaks Out on Farnborough Road, Clifton – No Injuries Reported
A fire has damaged one home and disrupted others in the Farnborough Road area of Clifton. Luckily, no one was hurt in the blaze.
Emergency Services Race to Scene
The fire broke out around 4pm on Saturday, 17 April. Police and firefighters rushed to tackle the situation. Roads at the junctions with Southchurch Drive and Orford Road were quickly shut down to keep the area safe.
Transport Chaos as Services Halted
The blaze also caused delays to local tram and bus services, impacting travel for commuters until the scene is cleared.
Cause of Fire Still Unknown
Investigations are ongoing into how the fire started, with officials yet to determine the exact cause.
Inspector Luke Todd of Nottinghamshire Police said: “Officers have been supporting our fire service colleagues in dealing with the incident and closing the roads.
“Thankfully no one was hurt and the damage was kept to a minimum. The fire was quickly under control and we hope to reopen the road as soon as possible.”
