Fatal Hit-and-Run Shocker in Andover Sparks Urgent Police Hunt

Police have launched a major investigation after a tragic hit-and-run in Andover on Monday evening (December 23).

Man Fatally Struck in Charlton Road Collision

A 38-year-old local man died after being hit by a car at around 6:40pm on Charlton Road. Paramedics rushed to the scene but could not save him. His family have been informed and are receiving support from specialist officers.

Police Urge Driver and Witnesses to Come Forward

Officers are desperately searching for the driver involved, believed to have fled the scene. Vehicle debris was found nearby as part of the ongoing inquiry.

“This is a very serious incident and we urgently need to speak with the driver involved,” said Inspector Steve Wakeford of the Roads Policing Unit.

“I would also like to hear from anyone who was in 1 Road and can assist us with our enquiries.”
