Teen Crushed to Death on Fairground Ride After Break-In
A 19-year-old man has tragically died after being crushed by a fairground ride early on Wednesday, 3 August 2022. Emergency services were called just after 7.45am following the horrifying incident.
Break-In Sparks Deadly Accident
Reports say a group broke into Pencester Garden Fair and switched on the ride. The teenager was caught and crushed by the machinery. Despite desperate efforts from paramedics and Kent Fire and Rescue’s Technical Rescue team, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Fairground Locked Down as Police Investigate
A crime scene is now in place, and the fairground remains on lockdown while specialists work alongside police to recover the victim. Kent Police have been contacted for comment and are urging the public to avoid the area.
