Emergency services rushed to Roach Road, Hackney Wick at 4:44pm after reports of a building collapse. A section of a bar’s mezzanine floor reportedly gave way, triggering a major incident alert.

The London Fire Brigade (LFB) confirmed the incident happened at Two More Years bar on Fish Island.

“A mezzanine floor in the single-storey bar collapsed,” said an LFB spokesperson.

Three fire engines and two rescue units were deployed, with crews conducting a thorough search of the site.
