Armed Police Rammed in High-Speed Getaway in Kent
A daring rammed escape has triggered a major police hunt in Kent. In the early hours of Monday, an armed response vehicle (ARV) was smashed as officers tried to stop a stolen BMW X5 fleeing the scene of a crime.
Massive Manhunt Underway Near Four Elms Roundabout
Ten police units are involved in the massive operation near Four Elms Roundabout on Chattenden’s outskirts. The force deployed two ARVs, two dog handlers, and even called in the National Air Support helicopter from Essex. The chopper used thermal imaging to track suspects hiding in thick woodland.
One Suspect Nabbed, Others Still on the Run
Officers found one man hiding in a nearby field, thanks to the aerial thermal camera. He has been arrested and is in custody. Meanwhile, the search intensifies for other suspects who vanished into dense undergrowth.
£70k BMW X5 Wrecked During Escape
The flash BMW X5, valued at around £70,000, was the getaway vehicle. It was rammed during the escape after a suspected crime in a nearby village. Kent Police have been contacted for more details but remain tight-lipped.
