Young Man Falls to His Death in Central London
A 22-year-old man has died after a fatal fall from a rooftop in Soho during the busy bank holiday weekend. Ryley Harbord fell from a residential property on Brewer Street at around 2am on Saturday, May 3.
Earlier that night, Ryley was seen enjoying a night out in Soho, wearing a long-sleeve top and a black gilet.
Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward
The Metropolitan Police are treating the death as unexpected and have launched an investigation. Officers are appealing to anyone who saw or spoke to Ryley between 7pm on Friday and 2am on Saturday to get in touch.
To help with their inquiries, police have released images of Ryley from the night, including a photo showing him speaking with a security guard in the area.
Family and Friends Mourn Lost Loved One
Heartbroken family members have paid emotional tributes online, calling Ryley their “world” and struggling to come to terms with his sudden death.
“My world is destroyed. My very soul is broken. I love you baby boy.”
Friends described him as “wild, crazy, but genuinely kind and loving.”
Investigation Ongoing
Detective Chief Inspector Anne Linton, leading the investigation, said:
“This is an unimaginably difficult time for Ryley’s family. Soho was bustling that night, so we believe someone may have important information that could help us piece together what happened.”
Anyone with information is urged to contact the Met Police urgently.
