Man Arrested After Double Stabbing Shakes Romford
Two Men Hospitalised After Stabbings in Broad Daylight
A double stabbing in Romford has left two men injured but out of danger. Police swooped after reports of two separate stabbing incidents just minutes apart.
The first attack took place shortly before 12:50pm on Coltsfoot Path. A 20-year-old man was found with stab wounds and rushed to hospital. Thankfully, his injuries are not life-threatening or life-changing.
Moments later, officers were called to a second stabbing at nearby Lavender Close. A 19-year-old victim was also hospitalised with non-life-threatening injuries.
Suspect Arrested and Linked to Both Stabbings
A man, whose age is unconfirmed, was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and is currently in police custody.
Detectives believe both stabbings happened inside the same property on Briar Road, Romford. A thorough investigation is now underway to piece together what happened.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
“Officers responded swiftly alongside London Ambulance Service crews to two separate but related incidents this afternoon. We believe both stabbings occurred within the same property on Briar Road,” a Metropolitan Police spokesperson said.
“We are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incidents or has information that could assist our investigation.”
