Man Dies After Assault Outside Maidstone Pub

A 47-year-old man has died following a brutal assault near Maidstone.

Attack at Hare and Hounds Pub

Kent Police and ambulance crews rushed to the Hare and Hounds on Lower Boxley Road shortly after 8.35pm on Saturday, 20 August 2022. Andrew Loosley was seriously injured in the incident and rushed to a London hospital.

Suspect Charged With GBH

On Monday, a suspect was arrested on suspicion of assault. Then on Wednesday morning, 18-year-old John Gibbs from Nickley Wood, Ashford, appeared in court charged with inflicting grievous bodily harm. He was remanded ahead of a Maidstone Crown Court hearing set for 21 September.

Tragically, Mr Loosley was pronounced dead in hospital on Wednesday, 24 August.
