Van Driver Ploughs Into Cars on Busy A2

A 38-year-old man has been arrested after a white van allegedly smashed into several vehicles on the London-bound A2 near Gravesend. The shocking incident erupted around 9:50 AM on September 17, just by the Gravesend Central junction.

The suspect, driving a white Ford Transit Connect, didn’t stop after the collisions. He carried on onto the M25 before police caught up with him near the Dartford River Crossing.

Rapid Police Response Leads to Arrest

Kent Police acted fast, detaining the man from Rochester. The van has been seized as part of the investigation. Although arrested, the suspect has been released on bail while inquiries continue.

Witnesses Needed to Solve the Mystery

Kent Police are urgently appealing for anyone who saw the chaos unfold, or who might have dashcam footage from the area, to come forward. They are especially keen to speak to the driver of a silver Transit van that was also damaged but remains untraced.
