Man Arrested Over Terror Funding Released Under Investigation
A 42-year-old man was arrested by the Met’s Counter Terrorism Command on Tuesday, 25 May, in west London. He was suspected of funding terrorism, in breach of Section 17 of the Terrorism Act 2000.
Police Raids Uncover Linked Addresses
Detained under the Police and Criminal Evidence Act (PACE), he was held while police searched two connected west London addresses. After questioning, he was released but remains under investigation.
Probe Into Islamist Terror Funding Continues
The ongoing investigation focuses on alleged funding of Islamist terrorism overseas. Authorities have yet to make further arrests as the case develops.
