Elderly Man Arrested After Deadly Gosport House Fire

An 81-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and arson following a tragic house fire in Gosport that killed a man in his 60s.

Emergency Services Rush to Blaze on Exmouth Road

Firefighters and police were called to a property on Exmouth Road just before 5:20 pm on Friday, 29 November. Inside, they found the body of a man in his 60s.

The suspect was arrested at the scene and taken to hospital with injuries he sustained before emergency crews arrived.

Police Launch Murder Investigation

“We have arrested a man on suspicion of 123 anonymously at 0800 555 111.
