A stabbing on Westminster Bridge has left a man fighting for his life this morning. The bloody incident erupted just before 11am, sparking chaos on one of London’s most iconic landmarks.
Four Arrested in Brutal Attack
Emergency services rushed to the scene at ~10:45 AM following reports of a violent fight. The victim was treated on the spot before being airlifted to a nearby hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
The Metropolitan Police have arrested four suspects. Three are held on suspicion of attempted murder, while a fourth faces affray charges. Two of those detained needed hospital treatment for minor injuries inflicted during the fracas.
Bridge Closed, Investigation Underway
Westminster Bridge remains shut to both traffic and pedestrians, causing major disruption across the area. Police have set up cordons, and the Metropolitan Police’s Specialist Crime Command is leading the investigation.
A Met Police spokesperson urged the public: “We are in the early stages of this investigation. Anyone who witnessed the incident or has footage should come forward as it could prove vital.”
