A man was rushed to the hospital in the early hours of Monday, August 26, after being stabbed on City Road in Hackney. The incident occurred shortly before 2 am, and police officers were called to the scene.
The victim believed to be in his 40s, was found by responding officers and treated by paramedics at the scene. Fortunately, doctors later determined that his injuries were not life-threatening, and he is currently recovering in the hospital.
The Metropolitan Police have confirmed that a man in his 20s has been arrested in connection with the incident. He is currently in custody and is being questioned by authorities. In addition to the arrest, officers also recovered a firearm during the course of their investigation.
A Met Police spokesperson said: “Officers were on patrol in City Road, Hackney, at about 1:50am on Monday, 26 August when they were made aware of a stabbing. Officers found a man aged in his 40s with stab injuries and immediately gave first aid. The victim was taken to hospital, and his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
The investigation is ongoing, and police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
