Man Hospitalised After Brutal Dog Attack During Leeds Street Brawl

Chaos Erupts on New York Street

A man in his 30s was left with serious injuries after a violent fight broke out on Leeds’ busy New York Street last night. Police rushed to the scene at 8.24pm following reports of a brawl involving several men. During the mayhem, the victim was viciously bitten by a dog, suffering a potentially life-changing leg wound. He was rushed to hospital for emergency treatment.

Two Men Arrested, Dog Confiscated

West Yorkshire Police swiftly arrested two suspects on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm. Both men remain in custody while officers have seized the dog involved in the attack.

Detective Inspector Mark Hibbert said: “I understand that this incident happened in a busy part of the city centre and may cause some concern in the local area. I want to reassure people that this was an isolated incident and officers acted swiftly to seize the dog and detain the suspects. I want to ask anyone with any footage that might help with our investigation to please contact us.”
