Tragedy on Bedford Road: Two Men Killed in Crash
Two men in their 60s died in a horrific crash outside Bedford Sixth Form on Bromham Road yesterday afternoon. The fatal collision happened just after midday, sparking a major police probe.
Crash Details
- Around 12:22pm on Saturday, emergency crews rushed to the scene after reports of a collision involving a car and two pedestrians.
- Both men were pronounced dead at the scene. Police have informed next of kin but are yet to formally identify the victims.
- A 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and remains in custody.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Sergeant Aaron Murphy of the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit said:
“We are running multiple enquiries to understand exactly what happened. We believe several people witnessed the collision and urge anyone with information or dashcam footage to come forward.”
