Man Plunges to Death from 19th Floor in Lambeth

A man tragically fell to his death from the 19th floor of a block of flats in Lambeth in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Police Rush to Scene at Eleanor House

Emergency services were called to Eleanor House on Kennington Lane at 4:13am. Despite valiant efforts from police and paramedics, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

A crime scene cordon was quickly set up around the area, including a blue tarpaulin placed over the top waste skip to shield residents from the grim incident.

Plunge Lands in Waste Skip Amid Property Clear-Out

The victim fell from a balcony, landing in a heap of rubbish in a site used to clear a vacant flat. A specialist clean-up is now underway, with jet sprayers and refuse lorries removing all waste. Decontamination efforts are also in progress.

Met Police Confirms No Suspicious Circumstances

A Met Police spokesman said: “A cordon was in place outside Ebenezer House, Kennington Lane #SE11 earlier today after a man fell from height. Police were called at 4.13am by LAS and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.”

“The death is not being treated as suspicious. The cordon has now been lifted.”
