Corrosive Attack Shakes Bethnal Green – Police Hunt Witnesses

Detectives are on the lookout after a brutal corrosive assault in Bethnal Green left two men and a woman injured. The incident happened at around 1am on Wednesday, 3 April, on Old Bethnal Green Road, E2.

Officers rushed to the scene and provided first aid. One man was taken to an East London hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Vehicles Smashed in Shocking Attack

The violent attack didn’t stop with the victims. Several vehicles nearby were also damaged, adding to the chaos.

Detective Constable Angus Handley told the press, “This took place outside a block of flats and I’m sure a number of people would have heard and seen the disturbance.”

Police Plea for Witnesses

“I would urge anyone who has not yet spoken with police to come forward and speak with us. Fortunately, none of the victims sustained serious injuries but it is imperative that we gather as much information as possible.”
