Met Police Officer Stabbed in Neck During Arrest in Hounslow

A Metropolitan Police officer was stabbed in the neck while trying to arrest a suspect on Hounslow High Street on Monday night.

Knife Attack Shocks Hounslow

Police were called at 9:53pm after reports of a man carrying a knife. The injured officer was rushed to a major trauma centre by paramedics who arrived at nearby Bell Road at 10:18pm.

Thankfully, the Met confirmed the officer’s injuries are not life-threatening or life-changing.

Three Men Arrested on Attempted Murder Charges

  • Three men, aged 19, 28, and 34, were arrested at the scene.
  • The 28-year-old is also suspected of three burglaries.
  • All remain in custody as police continue their investigations.

Met Police Speak Out

“An officer attempted to apprehend a suspect and was stabbed in the neck. Thankfully, their injuries were not life-changing or life-threatening,” said a Met Police spokesperson. “He was taken to hospital and will continue to be supported following this incident.”

Police Appeal for Witnesses

Officers urge anyone with CCTV, dashcam, or phone footage from Hounslow High Street or Bell Road between 9:45pm and 10:30pm on September 8 to contact police on 101.
