Just after midnight on 18 March, a serious road traffic collision on Church Road, Croydon, triggered a blitz emergency response from the London Ambulance Service.
Emergency Crews Flood the Scene
The call saw an ambulance crew, a rapid response paramedic, an advanced paramedic, and an incident response officer speed to the site. Backup arrived fast, including a paramedic and doctor from the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance team.
Patient Treated Instantly and Rushed to Trauma Centre
The first paramedic reached the crash scene in just five minutes. Emergency teams treated the injured patient on site before rushing him to a major trauma centre for urgent care.
London Ambulance Service spokesperson: “We treated a patient at the scene and took him to a major trauma centre.”
Details on the cause and condition are awaited from the Met Police.
