Murder Probe Launched After Man Found Dead in Shipley Home

West Yorkshire Police have kicked off a murder investigation after a man was found dead at a property on Stead Street, Shipley.

Emergency services rushed to the scene at 9.29am on Monday 22 April following a welfare concern report. They discovered a 43-year-old man who was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

Two Arrested Over Suspected Murder

Police have arrested a 65-year-old man and a 54-year-old woman on suspicion of murder. Both remain in custody while detectives from the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team (HMET) continue their inquiries.

A post-mortem examination is planned for later today to determine the exact cause of death.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

“This is a tragic incident and our thoughts are with the victim’s family at this difficult time. We are conducting a thorough investigation to establish the full circumstances surrounding the man’s death,” said a West Yorkshire Police spokesperson.
