Teen Stabbed to Death in Woolwich: Murder Probe Launched
A murder investigation is underway after an 18-year-old man was fatally stabbed in Woolwich.
Horrific Scene on Woolwich Common
Police rushed to Academy Road, near the junction with Shooters Hill, at 3.28pm on Sunday following reports of a man with stab wounds. Officers and paramedics found the victim in the Woolwich Common area.
Despite desperate efforts from passers-by, police, and London Ambulance Service crews, the young man died at the scene.
Urgent Enquiries and Road Closures
Police believe they know the identity of the deceased and have informed his next of kin. A post-mortem examination will be carried out in due course.
The Specialist Crime Command has taken over the investigation. A crime scene remains in place, with road closures disrupting local traffic as detectives scramble to piece together what happened.
