Greensboro is in shock after Police Officer Michael Horan was shot dead while responding to a call about a man armed with a gun at a local Food Lion store on Christmas Eve.
A seven-year veteran of the Greensboro Police and an 18-year Coast Guard serviceman, Officer Horan was caught in a brief but deadly struggle with the suspect. Reports confirm he never had the chance to draw or fire his own weapon.
