Romford Horror: Teen Sex Assault Suspect Busted with Guns and Drugs
14-Year-Old Girl Sexually Assaulted
On Friday, 10 March, a 14-year-old girl met up with a man in Romford. During their meeting, the suspect forcibly sexually assaulted her before fleeing the scene.
Suspect Nabbed After Police Investigation
The victim reported the horrific attack to police the very next day. Detectives from the East Area Predatory Offender Unit teamed up with Romford Town Centre officers and tracked down the suspect at his home on Tuesday, 14 March.
Guns and Drugs Found at Suspect’s Home
At the suspect’s Romford property, officers found a shotgun, ammunition cartridges, and a large stash of Class B drugs. The man was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault, possession with intent to supply drugs, and possession of a firearm.
Female Accomplice Also Arrested
A 26-year-old woman present at the address was also arrested on drug and firearm charges. Both remain in custody at east London police stations.
The victim is being supported by specialist officers as investigations continue.
