Drunken Brawl Turns Nasty as Man Strangles Policewoman in Patrol Car
Party Fight Ends in Shocking Assault
In the early hours of Sunday, November 28, 2021, cops were called to break up a scuffle between two men at a party near Blandford. No official complaints were made, so officers took one man back to his accommodation to chill out.
Attack Shocks Officers on A31
But things took a terrifying turn at 4.30am. While driving along the A31 near West Almer in a marked police car, the same man allegedly unbuckled his seatbelt, lunged forward, and strangled a female police officer inside the vehicle. The officers pulled over immediately and struggled to restrain him.
Heroic Bystander Steps In
A quick-thinking man stopped at the scene and helped the officers bring the situation under control. The suspect, a 36-year-old from Dunboyne, Ireland, was arrested on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker and resisting arrest. He’s now out on police bail as inquiries continue.

“I would like to thank this member of the public who stopped and helped both police officers during this incident,” said Police Constable Neil Gauden of Dorset Police. “I am appealing for this male Good Samaritan to please get in touch with us as he may have information that could assist my investigation.”
