Elderly Man, 77, Dies in Shocking Wendover Assault

Tragedy struck on Aylesbury Road, Wendover, yesterday evening when police were called to reports of an assault inside a property. A 77-year-old man was found with serious injuries and sadly died at the scene.

Man, 36, Arrested on Suspicion of Murder

A 36-year-old man from Aylesbury has been arrested and remains in police custody. Detectives say the victim and suspect knew each other, but the exact motive is still unknown.

Ongoing Investigation and Community Appeal

Detective Superintendent Kevin Brown of the Major Crime Team offered condolences to the victim’s family and confirmed the investigation is at an early stage. He warned of disruption in the area as police continue their inquiries.
