A fierce fire erupted at a paper mill in Kemsley, Sittingbourne, in the early hours of Friday, 7 March 2025. Kent Fire and Rescue Service rushed to the scene at 5:31 AM, unleashing six fire engines and crews equipped with breathing apparatus and main jets to battle the flames.
Flames Under Control, No Injuries Reported
Firefighters managed to bring the blaze under control by 9:00 AM. Thankfully, no injuries have been reported. Officials are still investigating the cause of the fire.
Community Volunteers Lend a Hand
Rapid Response Team volunteers worked alongside fire crews, helping to manage the scene. Firefighters remained on site for several hours to ensure the area was safe and secure.
