Man in his 70s Found Dead in Wimbledon Pond
Tragedy Strikes Cannizaro Park
The body of a man in his 70s was found in a pond at Cannizaro Park, Wimbledon, early Tuesday morning. Emergency services were called to the scene at 9.19am.
CPR Attempted But Man Pronounced Dead
Police and paramedics performed CPR at the scene but sadly the man was pronounced dead. A blue tarpaulin remains in the park as officers continue their work.
Police Say No Suspicious Circumstances
Scotland Yard confirmed enquiries are ongoing, but the death is not currently being treated as suspicious. Officers remain at Cannizaro Park continuing their investigation.
