Fire Erupts Late Saturday in Matlock Gardens
Emergency services raced to a house on Matlock Gardens, Hornchurch late on Saturday night after reports of a bedroom fire. Firefighters from the London Fire Brigade arrived alongside paramedics from the London Ambulance Service to tackle the blaze and assist any trapped residents.
One Person Injured and Rushed to Hospital
An occupant was treated at the scene before being rushed to hospital. The extent of their injuries remains unknown. The fire started in a first-floor bedroom but crews quickly contained the flames to prevent further damage and protect neighbouring homes.

Local residents described a huge emergency presence shortly after 11pm, with at least three fire engines blocking the street. The area was cordoned off as firefighters battled the fire and paramedics cared for the injured occupant.
