Man Dies After Crash in Southampton Hospital Car Park – Police Launch Appeal
Tragedy struck in Southampton when an 84-year-old man was fatally injured in a collision at Western Community Hospital’s car park.

The incident happened at 12.50pm on January 13, involving the elderly pedestrian and a Vauxhall Zafira. The victim, a Southampton resident, was rushed to Southampton General Hospital but died three weeks later from his injuries.
Driver Remains On Scene, Police Investigation Underway
The driver of the Vauxhall stayed at the scene and is cooperating fully with police inquiries. Officers from Totton Roads Policing Unit are now hunting for witnesses.
“Following the sad death of this elderly man we are appealing for witnesses to the incident to come forward,” said PC Brendan Moseley.
“We are particularly keen to speak to the people who rushed to the gentleman’s aid at the time.”
