Knife-Wielding Duo Try to Rob Man in Grays Woods
Police are on the hunt after a brazen attempted robbery in Grays took a violent turn.
Victim Slashed After Refusing to Hand Over Wallet
At around 11.10pm on Thursday, 7 May, a 21-year-old man was walking through Hangman’s Wood near the Esso Garage at the Daneholes Roundabout when two men approached him.
One pulled out a lock knife and demanded his wallet and phone.
When the victim said he had none, the thug slashed him on the arm and stomach.
The man fought back, managing to wrestle the knife away before both attackers fled the scene.
Thankfully, his injuries are minor.
Police Release Suspect Descriptions
Officers believe witnesses may have seen the pair and have asked anyone with information to come forward.
- Suspect One: White male, about 5ft 9in, medium build, deep-set eyes, short brown hair. He wore gloves, a black zip-up tracksuit jacket with a reflective logo on the chest, matching trousers, and had his face covered with a dark scarf.
- Suspect Two: White male, around 6ft tall, medium build. He wore a black hooded jumper with a logo on the chest, jeans, black trainers, gloves, and also had his face covered with a black scarf.
