Rottweiler Bites Boy at Pirate Play Park

A young boy suffered a painful leg bite from a Rottweiler at Carrington’s Pirate Play Park last Saturday.

Attack at Play Park

The dog, off its lead, lunged at the boy around 5pm on 11 March 2023, ripping his trousers and causing injury. Thankfully, the wounds were not serious.

Owner Flees the Scene

The female dog owner, described as large-built with dark hair, fled the park via the Mansfield Road exit. Police are urging her to come forward.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

“The dog ran up to the young boy and bit him. Thankfully his injuries are not serious,” said PC John Pearson of Nottinghamshire Police. “I’m appealing for anyone with information to get in touch. We urge the female owner to do the right thing and come forward.”
