Hampshire and Isle of Wight Police are on the hunt for a suspected drink driver who caused mayhem in Ventnor just after midnight on New Year’s Day. The man, behind the wheel of a red Ford Focus, dodged officers trying to stop him – then careered into four police patrol cars, including a dog unit.

Rammed Police Cars and Injured Officers

The crash happened on Albert Street at around 3am on Monday. Three officers suffered minor injuries in the collision but are expected to recover. Police are urging anyone with information about the driver’s identity to come forward.
