Man Punched Leaving Wollaton Park Music Event
A man trying to play peacemaker was left with a fractured jaw and black eye after being punched in the face outside a Wollaton Park music event.
Victim Attacked After Stepping In
The victim spotted a man and woman arguing as he left the event on Wollaton Road. When he tried to calm the couple down, the man lashed out and punched him before fleeing the scene.
The shocking attack happened between 11pm and midnight on 26 May 2023.
Suspect Description Released
- White male, late 40s to early 50s
- Around 6ft tall
- Bald
- Wearing a white t-shirt, grey denim shorts, and white trainers
Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward
“This was a horrible assault that left a man who was simply trying to calm down a situation with serious facial injuries,” said PC Megan Offiler of Nottinghamshire Police. “The area would’ve been busy at the time, so we believe witnesses saw this happen. We need anyone with information to come forward so we can find the responsible man.”
