Tragic Crash: Young Rownhams Man Killed on Romsey Road

Police have named the victim of a fatal crash on the A3057 in Southampton last night.

Macaulay “Mac” Campbell, 20, Dies at Scene

Macaulay Campbell, 20, from Rownhams, lost his life in a collision between his black VW Lupo and a silver BMW 520 at around 10.30pm on February 20. The crash happened between Nursling and Romsey.

Heartbreaking Family Tribute

“Mac has tragically lost his life in a car crash on Romsey Road, near Rownhams,” said the family.

“He was a loving son to Tracy and Colin and a brother to Luke, Sam, and Maisie. Mac was also a devoted grandson and boyfriend to his long-time partner Fleur.

“He was in the prime of his life, a passionate rugby fan who had just played for Romsey Rugby Club, earning man of the match on the day.

“Mac worked as an apprentice fitter with Sparkes of Totton and was loved by all who knew him. He will be deeply missed.”

Ongoing Investigation and Call for Witnesses

Police continue to investigate the tragic crash. They urge anyone with information to contact the Serious Collisions Investigation Unit on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously at 0800 555 111.
