Tragedy strikes near St Teath as Charlotte Herring, 33, dies in solo crash
Police have named Charlotte Herring as the victim of a deadly single-vehicle collision on Wednesday night near St Teath, Cornwall.
Charlotte Herring’s Fatal Crash
The 33-year-old from Bodmin was pronounced dead at the scene after her car crashed on a rural road leading to Trelill at around 9:50 PM on 15 January. Emergency services rushed to the site but could not save her.
Family Pays Emotional Tribute
Charlotte’s family shared a heartbreaking statement:
“It is with great sadness that we share the devastating news that our beloved Charlotte tragically died in a road traffic collision on Wednesday 15 January.
Charlotte was a doting mum, daughter, and sister who will forever be remembered for her infectious laugh, zest for life, and collection of leopard-print clothes.
Her passing will leave a huge hole, not just in the lives of her friends and family, whom she loved dearly, but within the local community, in which she played a vital role.
We’d like to thank the emergency services for their ongoing work at this heartbreaking time, as well as family, friends, and loved ones for their endless support. Charlotte’s memory will continue to live on in those who knew and loved her.”
Police Launch Investigation
Devon and Cornwall Police are probing the cause of the crash. They are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dash-cam footage from the area to come forward.
