Four Murdered in South East London Home – Victims Named
The Met’s Specialist Crime Command (Homicide) continue their probe after four people were found stabbed to death in a Southwark property. Today, police revealed the victims’ identities and launched a fresh appeal for information.
The victims are:
- Denton Burke, 58, and his partner Dolet Hill, 64, who lived together on Delaford Road, Southwark.
- Tanysha (aka Rachquel) Ofori-Akuffo, 45, Dolet Hill’s daughter, from Kennington, SE17.
- Samantha Drummonds, 27, Tanysha’s daughter, from Forest Hill, Lewisham, SE23.
Family members of all four have been informed and are receiving specialist support from officers.
Detective Chief Insp. Pleads For Help
Detective Chief Inspector Linda Bradley said: “This was a truly horrific incident. We fully understand the distress for the families and community. Our investigation is thorough and ongoing. If you saw or know anything that could help, please come forward. You can call police or contact Crimestoppers anonymously.”
She added: “We thank the local people for their patience and support. This will be a lengthy investigation as we gather evidence and uncover every fact. We know the community is seeking answers – we are determined to provide them as quickly as possible.”
Nightmare Discovery at Delaford Road
Police were called at 1.42am on Monday, 25 April, following reports of a disturbance at the Delaford Road address.
Officers forced entry after no one responded. Inside, they found three women and one man, all showing stab wounds. Paramedics battled to save them, but all four were pronounced dead at the scene.
Suspect Detained and Hospitalised
Officers also encountered a 28-year-old man from Lewisham inside the home. He was tasered and arrested on suspicion of murder. The suspect remains under arrest in hospital in a stable condition.
Post-mortem exams took place on 26 and 27 April, with formal identification expected shortly.
