Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward
Officers are keen to hear from anyone who was near Durley Chine Beach, Durley Roundabout, West Cliff Gardens, or West Cliff Drive between 10pm and midnight on May 24. They want any dashcam, CCTV footage, or sightings of suspicious activity.
The beach remains closed from Bournemouth Pier to Alum Chine, including local businesses like the Bournemouth Oceanarium and nearby restaurants.
Local MP Sir Conor Burns called the incident “tragic and brutal,” adding, “We hope police findings reveal this was an isolated and random act of violence, as these remain thankfully rare.”
