Two Men Stabbed in Broad Daylight Basingstoke Brawl
Police are hunting for witnesses after a brutal stabbing in Basingstoke this evening. At around 6:30pm on Thursday, June 16, a heated argument exploded into violence in the underpass between Basingstoke Leisure Centre and the Winklebury Estate.
Stabbing Leaves Two Men Hospitalised
Two men, both in their late 30s, were stabbed during the fracas. Both victims were rushed to southampton/" title="Southampton" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Southampton General Hospital, with one in serious condition. A police cordon remains in place at the scene as inquiries continue into the bloody incident.
Two Arrested Over Grievous Bodily Harm
Officers have arrested two men on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent. They are currently in custody and being questioned about the attack.
Police Plead for Witnesses to Come Forward
“I need to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident,” Detective Sergeant Oliver Lage said. “It happened in broad daylight, so someone must have seen what happened.
