Police Hunt Woman Over Brutal Attempted Robbery of Schoolboy in Peterborough
Police in Peterborough have released a CCTV snap of a woman they urgently want to ID after a 12-year-old boy was attacked during an attempted robbery. The shocking incident happened on Thursday, 2 May, at around 3:25pm, as the youngster walked home from school.
Two Women Attack Boy in Alleyway
The boy was walking through an alley next to Churchgate, close to New Road, when two women confronted him. Despite his brave resistance to hand over his mobile phone and school bag, he was subjected to a violent assault. The attackers hit, punched, kicked, and even knocked him to the ground in a terrifying ordeal.
Victim Escapes with Minor Injuries—Police Seek Public Help
Thankfully, the assailants failed to steal anything and the boy suffered only minor injuries. Now, the police are appealing for anyone who recognises the woman caught on CCTV to come forward and help with their investigation.
