Quad Bike Mayhem in Harewood Grove
Officers from the East Neighbourhood Policing Team raced to the scene following reports of dangerous riding and antisocial behaviour. The quad bike was tearing through the streets, disturbing residents and leaving a trail of alarm in its wake.
Although the rider initially gave police the slip, a search of the area uncovered the quad bike hidden inside a disused garage nearby.
Mystery Surrounds Rogue Quad
A police spokesperson said:
“Despite our best efforts, no one at the scene wanted to claim ownership of the quad bike.”
The bike was found with no registration plate and no visible Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), raising serious questions about its legality.
The quad has now been confiscated and will be inspected by a Stolen Vehicle Examiner to check if it’s been reported stolen.
Crackdown on Illegal Off-Road Vehicles
Police warned that illegal use of off-road bikes and quads is a growing menace, threatening public safety and peace in local communities.
“We will continue to take action against the illegal use of off-road bikes and quads to ensure the safety and peace of our neighbourhoods,” the spokesperson added.
Residents applauded the swift police response, grateful for the quick move to restore calm in Harewood Grove.
