Four Seriously Hurt in Horror Crash on A30 Near Sherborne
Range Rover and Renault Clio Collide in Deadly Smash
Dorset Police are hunting witnesses after a nasty crash on the A30 left four people badly injured. The crash happened at 9.13pm on Thursday, 18 December 2025, between Castle Town Way and Oborne Road, just east of Sherborne.
A white Range Rover and a blue Renault Clio slammed into each other, triggering a huge emergency response. Two young boys, aged 7 and 9, along with a woman in her 30s, were airlifted to hospital with serious injuries. A man in his 30s was also rushed by ambulance and remains in a serious condition. Their families have been informed.
Man Arrested; Roads Remain Closed
A man in his 40s from Yeovil was arrested on suspicion of driving offences. He was taken to hospital but his injuries are not thought to be serious. The A30 remains closed while police investigate the crash scene.
Police Urge Drivers: Check Your Dashcams
“We are carrying out a full investigation into the circumstances of this collision, and I am keen to hear from anyone who saw what happened,” said Sergeant Dave Cotterill of the Roads Policing Team.
“If you were driving nearby at the time, please check any dashcam footage that could help.”
